Marsupial's construction teams are equipped to create the landscape you need from the ground up. We have the equipment and the experience to offer services including excavation, stormwater drainage and harvesting solutions, subsoil irrigation, fencing, irrigation and concrete works to hard landscaping, landscape design and design implementation. LATEST PROJECT - Forde Forde is a $500 million master-planned community located in Gungahlin, close to Canberra's CBD. It has been planned and funded by Delfin, Landscape Development Agency and Canberra Investment Corporation. Marsupial has been instrumental in the physical construction of the hard landscaping in the new community. Forde's emphasis is on the environment, incorporating 39 hectares of open space into residential neighbourhoods. 11 parks are situated within its' borders. The established Red Gum and Yellow Box tree forests of Mulligan's Flat Nature Reserve sit on the periphery of the development. The significance of this reserve and the 150 species of wildflower therein, has been respected in the construction of Forde. Marsupial will provide the infrastructure to implement a progressive water saving plan including water efficient landscaping and recycled water irrigation for parklands. This will result in the use of 40% less potable water than comparable sized communities. Mature trees across the site have been retained and there is a plan to plant an additional 200,000 trees over the life of the project. Thus far seven species of Eucalypt and one species of Casuarina have been planted, as well as native tube stock provided by Greening Australia. |
